The Process

This is a general outline of what it’s like to
engage in psilocybin therapy with me.

Initial Inquiry

If you’re interested in working together, please complete the contact form and share your intentions and relevant background. I review each inquiry personally to ensure I can offer the right kind of support for your goals and circumstances. I often follow up by email with a few additional questions before we schedule a consultation.

Consultation

The next step is a one-hour Zoom meeting that serves as a consultation—or “fit call.” This conversation gives each of us the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about one another, and see whether it feels right to proceed. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask about psilocybin and how it may interface with your healing process, health, and overall goals.

Payment for this consultation is made in advance. If we decide to work together, the consultation fee can be applied toward the overall cost of your psilocybin therapy and facilitation.

Preparation Period

In the weeks or months prior to your psilocybin session(s), we will typically meet two additional times to help you prepare for your journey. (Why is a psilocybin session called a “journey”?… You’ll see ☺️).

During this preparation period we will explore your intentions, personal history, and practical considerations. Preparation plays a significant role in shaping the trajectory of your psilocybin work—often, the more effort invested here, the more fruitful the experience. I may also suggest meditative practices, lifestyle changes, or medication adjustments (for you to discuss with your doctor), tailored to your intentions and situation to begin incorporating during this time.

The Psilocybin Sessions

Psilocybin sessions take place in a licensed Oregon service center, in accordance with state regulations. I typically meet clients in Bend, and occasionally in Portland or Eugene.

You and I will agree on the dosing beforehand, and there will be an opportunity for a “booster dose” if appropriate. I will remain present with you throughout the session to provide support and ensure safety.

Integration

Integration is an essential part of the process—some colleagues even consider it the most potent aspect of psilocybin therapy. We typically meet within the first one to five days after your last session, and again one to two weeks later.

These meetings are an opportunity to make sense of your experience, translate insights into daily life, and support ongoing growth and healing.

And Beyond

For many people, the journey does not end with the psilocybin session—it continues to unfold over weeks, months, or even a lifetime. Insights and shifts that begin during the session often deepen with time and reflection.

Some clients choose to continue meeting for ongoing support as they navigate changes in perspective, relationships, or life direction. For those who wish, there is the option to schedule additional post-integration sessions to help sustain and integrate these evolving experiences.

Paul is an incredibly skilled facilitator – calm, grounded, and deeply present. His steady attention and quiet confidence helped me feel safe and seen, allowing my emotions to unfold naturally and without judgment. He was humble and encouraging, offering warmth and gentle reassurance that made it easy to stay open and trust the process… He embodies integrity, compassion, and respect, making the experience profoundly authentic, healing, and human.
